Visa

Finnish citizens do not need a visa to travel to Turkey, if the stay is for less than 90 days.

Currency

The currency of Turkey is the Turkish lira.

The notes in use are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 TL. Large shopping centers, hotels and restaurants also accept US dollars and euros.  It is, however, recommended to carry Turkish liras as well.

Cash machines

Turkish liras, euros and US dollars can be withdrawn from cash machines in Turkey. Most cash machines operate also in English.

Vaccinations

Finnish people do not need vaccinations when travelling to Turkey.

Driving a car in Turkey

Foreigners can drive a car in Turkey, if they can produce a passport, an international driving license and a permit for the vehicle. Turkey has right-hand traffic.
