Our office provides various services that intensively focus on distributing information about Turkey to Finnish tourists, travel agencies and other related organizations. We manage and develop public relations in order to promote Turkey within the tourism sector, and to enhance Turkey's reputation as an attractive travel destination. A part of this is to deal with any unexpected events that may have an adverse effect on the image of Turkey.

In Finland - as well as in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - we interact with tour operators and a wide range of cultural institutions, associations and foundations. We set up appointments with them, plan and arrange press trips and in other ways maintain an open relationship with all our stakeholders. Journalists and other individuals that have a direct influence on the public are also considered to be important cooperation channels for us. We, in turn, act as a major contributor to many of our associates.

Guests are welcome to visit our office. We inform them about the current and upcoming events here and in Turkey. We also have complimentary brochures, posters and booklets available to visitors that are planning a trip to Turkey. We follow closely all the feedback that is delivered by the visitors, and we act accordingly to any relevant complaint. In addition, our office collects statistics and distributes the information promptly.

The Turkish Embassy Information Counselor's Office organizes various cultural activities. The events are planned annually and announced to the public through different media. They are mostly free of charge and exhibited in centrally located cultural centers and halls. The scope of these activities is to attract public attention to Turkey and to its colorful culture.

Turkey is a truly unique country. In the year 2010, Turkey was visited by 143 204 Finnish tourists and approximately 28,5 million tourists from other countries. We are proud to provide you with an informative insight into the country, its culture, its people and the diverse holiday experience that it has to offer. Do not hesitate to contact us.
